Ask not what the Phantom can do for you….but what you can do for the Phantom.  What can you do? Help us get the word out, bring a team with you this year, introduce someone new to our sport or convince someone who has raced before to race again. Doesn’t seem that hard, does it? The Phantom has enjoyed a steady growth each year since we started hosting in it 2007, and we hope that 2010 follow the same trend.

In 2007, Nathaniel and I hosted our first Race the Phantom 24hr Adventure Race and had 5 teams registered. It was a nice group for us to get our feet wet with the hosting responsibilities. 2008 had our numbers just up to 8 teams and 2009 we grew again to 15 teams and increased our event time to 30hrs. For 2010 we have increased the event time to 36hrs and hopefully we will see our limit of 20 teams reached, but this can only happen with your help.

So….what does the Phantom hold for 2010?

This year we have stepped up our game to include services from Track Me 360 and Untamed Adventure Racing. This means that we will be using Spot Devices to track teams progress during the race and that we can make this information available online for race followers courtesy of Untamed Adventure Racing. This is a great service that will take the Phantom to the next level.

Sorry we took so long getting it up and going, but it is here now. Online registration is open and can be viewed at Atlantic Chip’s website. Adventure race on June 12th in Fredericton and http://www.atlanticchip.ca/events/details.php?show=527 for the 36hr Race the Phantom Adventure Race taking place in Dalhousie NB.
